Vacancy for Parish Clerk and Responsible Finance Officer (RFO) 
for Swinstead Parish Council 

  

Swinstead Parish Council are seeking applications for a committed self-starter who wishes to join the team as a Parish Clerk and Responsible Finance Officer. 

Commencing as soon as possible 

Part-time post – 2 hours per week. 

The Clerk/RFO is responsible to the P.C for: - 

·         Managing the day-to-day business of the Council 

·         Providing advice as the Council's Proper Officer & RFO 

·         Implementing Council decisions 

·         Managing and reporting on the Council’s finances 

·         Producing minutes from all the Council’s meetings 

The Clerk and RFO is required to attend every Council meeting which are usually held at 7.00 p.m. on the second Thursday of every other month. 

The location for the monthly meetings is The Village Hall,  Bourne Road, Swinstead NG33 4PQ.

Salary - You will be paid scale point six on the latest NJC scales, published for 2023-24. This equates to £12.42 per hour and a pay award for 2024-25 is pending.
