Draft Minutes of the meeting of Swinstead Parish Council held at the Village Hall
18.00 on Thursday 16thSeptember 2021
Present Cllr B Lynch, Cllr J Ashby, Cllr C Lunn, Cllr L Underhill.
1. Public Forum: No members of the public attended the forum. Cllr Nick Robins (SKDC) was present.
2. Apologies: Parish Clerk Chris Hatch, Cllr D Plowright.
3. Receive declarations of interest under the Localism Act 2011: None
4. Draft Minutes of the Previous Meeting: The Minutes of the previous meeting held on 15th July 2021 were agreed as an accurate record and signed.
5. Matters Arising from Last Meeting: The Clerk provided a quote for the village Platinum Jubilee beacon. The Jubilee leaflet was approved and will be delivered to every house.
6. Councillors Report: Cllr Robins (SKDC) reported on matters of interest throughout the area.
7. Chairman’s Report: Cllr Lynch had nothing to report.
8. Parish Clerk report: The Clerk’s Finance Report had been circulated to Councillors prior to the meeting.
9. Events: Queens Jubilee: The purchase of the beacon was approved.
10. Correspondence: The Clerk had received a thank you letter from Cancer Research UK for the donation made on behalf of Mr N Hawkins.
11. Roads: The limestone used to fill potholes on Creeton Road has already broken up.
12. AOB: Cllr Lunn enquired about the phone box. The Clerk had reported that it was still being used. Cllrs would like the Clerk to find out if the village will lose it if not enough calls are being made for BT to maintain it. Cllr Robins (SKDC) thought £100 worth of calls per annum was needed.
13. Date of the next meeting: 18th November 2021, 06.00pm Swinstead Village Hall.
